CoMeAr is a BUILD TO PRINT company, specialized in the production of critical and complex mechanical components according to drawings. In the aeronautical and aerospace fields, CoMeAr mainly produces FLIGHT-SAFETY parts such as hydraulic bodies, cylinders, pistons, housings, nuts, and other components for actuators such as flaps, slats, spoilers, rudders, stabilizers, thrust reversers; mechanical parts for braking systems and landing devices; rings for turbine bearings and gearboxes.
In the industrial sector, the company produces high-precision parts, mainly for machine tools, CNC waterjets, laser cutting machines, and electromechanical actuators for presses and punching machines. Currently, about 80% of the turnover is directed towards the aeronautical sector and 20% to the defence and industrial sectors.
Thanks to its machine park, of approximately 60 latest generation 5 axis CNC machines, CoMeAr is able to carry out mechanical processes such as TURNING, MILLING, DRILLING, GRINDING, HARD MILLING, and HARD TURNING, up to a maximum external diameter of 1500mm and a maximum length of 3000mm, starting from bars, tubes, castings, or forgings.
CoMeAr has extensive experience in processing a wide range of materials such as:
Steel
Aluminum
NICKEL-based Alloys
Inconel 718 Inconel 625HIGH Performance Alloys
HIGH Performance Alloys
CoMeAr ensures compliance of its processes through a certified management system according to the following standards / methodologies:
- UNI EN ISO 9001 (Quality Management System)
- UNI EN 9100 (Quality Management System for Aerospace)
- UNI EN ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System)
- ISO 45001 (Health and Safety Management System)
- LEAN SIX SIGMA e organizzazione 5S dal 2012
CoMeAr's layout consists of approximately 60 latest generation CNC machines, of which 80% are multitasking 5-axis machining centers. In its machine park, CoMeAr also boasts the availability of highly technological, multi-pallet, and multitasking systems, one of which is equipped with two integrated 5-axis machining centers (working cube: 400x400 mm) and an internal warehouse of 650 tools and 400 pallets, managed and controlled by a centralized F.M.S. system.
Recently installed is also a new 5-axis multitasking system, 24 pallets, turning and milling, working cube of 1500x1500 mm, which has allowed the company to increase its capabilities in terms of maximum dimensions achievable in milling.
Thanks to the variety of available machines and the excellent application of the most advanced multi-tasking F.M.S. processing techniques, supported by CAD/CAM software, CoMeAr is able to ensure great flexibility and efficiency in executing high-precision component productions in any batch, even in small quantities, as is typical in the aerospace and prototyping sectors.
CoMeAr also has its own cutting area, high precision manual de-burring departments (ultrasonic washing, binocular and endoscopic controls), as well as an area dedicated to the production of tools and equipments (designed by its own technical office) necessary to support and facilitate the production.
In addition to all the indispensable measuring instruments for the control of extremely complex components (such as roughness and profilometers), the company is also equipped with 4 metrology rooms, operating 24 hours a day, equipped with 10 CMMs, which provide total assistance to production on the three daily shifts.
COMEAR, in cooperation with other high-level Companies of the Region, founded the Umbria Aerospace Cluster in order to share capabilities and to establish new partnerships.
The partnership with UMBRAGROUP started over 30 years ago. COMEAR and BSP are build-to-print suppliers of mechanical machining and vertically integrated components. Meanwhile, UMBRAGROUP provides COMEAR and BSP with special processes (heat treatments, plating, non-destructive testing).
COMEAR Cooperates with EMS in the production of mechanical components for electromagnetic motors and brakes which are the core business of this highly specialized and young Company, located in Albanella (SA).
In 2009 COMEAR started a strategic collaboration with Fucine Umbre, a company specialized in the production of forging components for aeronautical applications and special processes. Thanks to this industrial partnership, both companies complete their respective skills and capabilities excellently.
